How we work this out
The tag shows a year of output for a panel hanging vertically on a south-facing railing.
Dollars use your state's average rate unless you type the rate from your own bill, which is always the better number. In Maryland we show Pepco and BGE.
The ten-year figures use EIA's projection of 2.21% a year in rate rises, with the flat case beside them. Change the rate of rise if you have a better figure.
