Terms of service

This site is operated by Miga Technologies, LLC (953 N 2nd St, Silverton, OR 97381), trading as US Plugin Solar. "We", "us" and "our" mean Miga Technologies, LLC. By visiting the site or buying something from us you agree to these terms. Please read them; if you don't agree with them, don't use the site.

We may update these terms by posting a new version here. The version in force is the one on this page at the time of your order.

1. Who can order

You must be at least the age of majority in your state, and you may only order for delivery to an address in the United States. You are responsible for checking that a plug-in solar system is permitted where you live before you buy. Our FAQ and our state law page list the states with a plug-in statute, with the cite and effective date, as we last read them; they are a starting point, not a guarantee that your state, county, utility, association or landlord will allow an installation.

2. Products, prices and availability

Product descriptions, specifications and prices may change without notice. We try to keep them accurate and current, and we correct errors when we find them, including after an order has been placed; if a price or description was wrong when you ordered, we'll tell you and you can cancel for a full refund. We may limit quantities per order or per household, and we may refuse or cancel an order if we suspect it is fraudulent or placed by a reseller. Colours in photographs and renders can differ from the product.

3. Ordering and payment

An order is accepted when we send the shipping confirmation (for physical products) or the download email (for digital products). You agree to give accurate, current and complete billing and contact details so that we can complete your order and reach you about it.

4. Shipping and returns

Shipping and delivery are covered by our Shipping policy, and returns and refunds by our Refund policy. Both are part of these terms.

5. Installation and use of the products

Our solar products are designed to be installed by the buyer, following the instructions in the box and any requirements of your state, your utility, your building and your electricity provider. Notify your utility before you install where your state requires it. Do not modify the panels, the inverter, the cable or the plug, and do not connect more than one system to a single meter where the law limits you to one. We do not perform installations or electrical work.

6. Warranties

Products carry the manufacturer's warranty shown on the product page; the terms come with the product, and we will help you make a claim. Beyond those and what these terms say, we make no express warranty about the products.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any implied warranty, or any other right, that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited. In particular, for consumer goods sold to a buyer in Maryland, Md. Code, Com. Law § 2-316.1 does not permit the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose to be disclaimed, and we do not attempt to. Where the law of your state does allow it, our liability under an implied warranty is limited to repair, replacement or refund of the product at our option.

7. Digital documents

The documents we sell, such as the approval pack, are prepared by LAN Holdings LLC for us to help you ask a homeowners association, condominium board, landlord or utility for what you need to install a plug-in solar system. They are informational. They are not legal advice, LAN Holdings LLC and Miga Technologies, LLC are not law firms, and buying one does not create an attorney-client relationship. Any statute text they cite was checked against the enacted law on the date shown in the document; laws change, and you are responsible for confirming the current position before you rely on it. No approval is guaranteed. They are refundable under our Refund policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from the products or this site, including lost savings, lost electricity production, or a refusal by a utility, association or landlord; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product concerned. Some states do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as that state's law permits. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Your account and our site

You may not use the site for anything unlawful, to scrape or copy its content for a competing service, to interfere with its operation, or to submit false information. Reviews and other content you post must be your own and must not be misleading; we may remove content that is. We may end your access to the site if you break these terms.

10. Third-party links and tools

The site may link to other sites, such as utility, manufacturer or state legislature pages, and may use third-party tools such as reviews and payment providers. We are not responsible for those sites or tools, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy policy.

12. Intellectual property

The content of this site and of the documents we sell is ours or our licensors' and is protected by copyright. You may use a document you bought for your own application; you may not resell it or redistribute it.

13. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, together with our Shipping, Refund and Privacy policies, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site and your orders. They are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without affecting any consumer protection you have under the law of the state where you live.
