Will my panels work with it?

Copy four numbers from your panel's datasheet or the label on its back. The check tries one panel, two in series and two in parallel on an input, on a cold morning and a hot afternoon.

Identical panels only. Mixed panels on one input aren't covered.
Over a voltage or short-circuit maximum: don't connect that wiring.
Close to a maximum: check with the panel maker before you connect.

Coldest morning (°C)Use your area's record low if it's colder. Hot panel (°C)Cell temperature on a hot sunny day. 65 suits a panel with air behind it, like on a railing; use about 75 for one lying flat on a roof or glued down. Voc temperature coefficient (%/°C)From the datasheet; usually -0.25 to -0.35. Vmp temperature coefficient (%/°C)If only a Pmax coefficient is listed, take about 0.05 off it: -0.35 becomes -0.40.
